What is Design? One definition, aired by designer Richard Seymour during the Design Council’s Design in Business Week 2002, is: ‘making things better for people’.
Programs in General Design
Bachelor of Arts in Design – NABA Milano (Milan, Italy)
Inspired by a “learning by doing” philosophy, the three-year BA in Design alternates and integrates theoretical studies with experiential workshops. During the program, students are challenged by progressively more demanding tests and exercises as they hone their conceptual and technical skills. This accelerates their education and experience and exposes them to the many roles for designers today.
After exploring basic concepts and techniques, students learn to observe the multitude of contemporary forms of design and apply them in their work.
Master of Design – Media Design School (Auckland, New Zealand)
The Master of Design is suitable for recent graduates in a design-related discipline or industry professionals who have six or more years in the creative industry.
Working in a simulated industry environment, our postgraduate students will be challenged to research relevant ideas, problem-solve, and create design solutions in response to a variety of real-world briefs. These briefs require our students to work collaboratively with others in order to create a broad range of digital and creative products, services and approaches across a multitude of media platforms.
Master in Global Design – IED (Barcelona, Spain)
Designers interested in developing their career in a global society should conceive design as a global practice.
Day after day, the markets are becoming more competitive and ever changing, while the consumer is more demanding when it comes to quality and shows an increasing interest in cultural, ethical or environmental aspects that traditionally haven’t been properly noticed, until today.
